About the Organisation

Woorabinda Aboriginal Shire Council is seeking to engage a Manager Human Resources. Candidates will require a graduate degree in human resources management, industrial relations or other relevant field; or have relevant work experience to an equivalent level.

Located two hours west of Rockhampton, this permanent position offers an opportunity for a proactive professional to develop and improve the capability and capacity of the HR function.

About the Position

This position is responsible for the provision of effective and efficient management and coordination of all human resource management activities and functions, including:

  • Providing advice, information and support to the Chief Executive Officer, Executive Managers and staff regarding human resource management and industrial relations practices.
  • Working with management and staff to identify ways to improve and enhance job satisfaction, professional development and training, and workplace health and safety.
  • Administer staff recruitment, on boarding, retention and performance review programs in accordance with sound practices and in a consistent manner.
  • Commitment to work with and mentor the Indigenous local workforce.

HR Manager Remuneration

Base Salary $100,000 p.a. Plus superannuation

Accommodation 2/3 Bedroom Council house dependent on need with a rental value of $55/$95 per week deducted from fortnightly salary.
