About the Organisation 

You will be part of an organisation that offers a range of services including information and communication technology (ICT), to its customer agencies – the Queensland Police Service (QPS), Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES), the Inspector-General Emergency Management (IGEM), the Queensland Ambulance Service, Queensland Corrective Services and the Queensland Government Air Wing services.  

About the Position 

This is a team that delivers consistently high-quality ICT services that focus on critical connections between people and places.  This is achieved by working closely and collaboratively with the portfolio partners to ensure the safety of front-line officers and the community.

This role is primarily to work as part of a Project team to deliver a priority ICT initiative which will integrate operating systems in a secure, national information sharing environment. This role will be part of a Development Team for this highly timeline constrained engagement. This role will participate in the software development for either the provisioning of information or the operational consumption of data from the national system.

Key Requirements

  • Interpret functional specifications into the development of new code or changes for existing code.
  • Facilitate joint design workshops with agile team members and business subject matter experts.
  • Update code and deployment process into the GIT / TeamCity / Octopus Deploy stream of work.
  • Create automated unit tests to validate code changes.
  • Windows Server Platform
  • Windows/Web Development/Web Services – Web API
  • .Net Framework 4.x – C#
  • Windows Services/IIS/WCF
  • SQL

Highly Desirable Experience

  • Automated Testing 
  • Visual Studio >= 2019
  • Team City
