About the Position

The Proterra Group are searching for an experienced Civil Engineer who is RPEQ certified, with a demonstrated focus on road projects, and the ability to share this knowledge with their team and colleagues. This is a key role as the 2IC of the engineering team and as such, will be required to mentor and develop their team, be the subject matter expert as well as troubleshooting on projects as needed. You will report directly to the Manager Projects and Engineering and be supported by a fellow Senior Civil Engineer located in Goondiwindi.

You will need:

Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or similar
Demonstrated successful road/highway projects you have been part of designing and delivering
Many years' experience building your technical knowledge of road infrastructure and design
Experience utilising your knowledge and skills for report writing and preparation of bid tender proposals
A good understanding of how local government operates
Confidence to develop strong relationships at all levels including the Director of Engineering and CEO
Proven experience in leading and mentoring other engineers, design and technical staff
12D or Civil3D
RPEQ

As the 2IC, you will be the point of reference for technical and design queries and troubleshooting project issues plus the development of your team. As Proterra Group currently support clients across Queensland and NSW, travel to regional communities north, west and south of Toowoomba will be part of this role.
