About the Organisation
The Scenic Rim region is a thriving rural paradise set in the foothills of the Great Dividing Range and surrounded by World Heritage-listed national parks. Home to a population of more than 40,000 the region covers 4,254sq km and is located an hour south of Brisbane and an hour inland from the Gold Coast.
Known for its breathtaking scenery, it is a popular tourist destination offering visitors plenty to see and do. From its myriad of wineries and art galleries to expansive bushwalking tracks, state of the art equine facilities, agriculture, growing rural communities and friendly country charm, the Scenic Rim region is a must-see destination. It contains more than 30,000 hectares of parkland, including national parks and council controlled parks, and three recreational dams.

About the Position
You are an experienced and passionate Human Resources professional with relevant qualifications and/or 3+ years’ experience in a similar role. You will be a proactive self-starter and have a ‘can do’ attitude and the drive and energy to ‘make things happen’.
Renowned for your communication, strong writing, judgement, and critical thinking skills you also have strong time management and interpersonal skills. Most importantly, you will be passionate about people and enjoy working at an operational level to deliver a “first class” service to the business.
You will be confident recruiting for roles at all levels, have a thorough understanding of Awards and have a reputation for finding the person with a great cultural fit.

Experience and qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related specialty well regarded
- Digital literacy including working knowledge of HR information systems, e-recruitment platforms and the Microsoft Suite
- Ability to exercise a high degree of discretion and confidentiality
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail including high quality proof-reading and editing skills to ensure communications and reports meet organisational standards
- Experience working in Local Government is desirable
