Interim Governance Manager 

  • Executive Level Pay Rate + Super + Accommodation and Travel Costs

Seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Governance Manager for a 4-month interim contract. This role is pivotal in ensuring the organisation's compliance, strategic alignment and operational efficiency. You will work closely with senior leaders to review and refine governance processes and documents, provide critical support to directors and ensure the CEO delegation framework is robust and up-to-date.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess existing strategic documents and recommend updates to align with current organisational goals.
  • Conduct a thorough review of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practices.
  • Develop or refine policies as required.
  • Evaluate and update the CEO delegation register to ensure accuracy and alignment with statutory requirements.
  • Provide administrative and governance support to directors, including preparing reports, managing records and supporting decision-making processes
  • Ensure all governance-related activities adhere to legislative requirements and organisational standards
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of governance projects.

About You:

  • Proven experience in governance, policy development and administration within a local government or similar environment.
  • Strong understanding of legislative compliance and governance frameworks.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills with an ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with executives and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work autonomously and deliver high-quality outputs within tight timeframes.
