The Position
As an Interim member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will support the organisation’s broader success through assisting in the preparation and review of reports to Council, be the ‘go to person’ for the teams within Finance, Shared Services and Procurement and steward established processes for the EOFY Audit.
The incumbent will be available for any support required during this period.
To be considered for the position you will have worked at this level and have the following:
- Sound knowledge of Local Government financial and accounting requirements and procedures including budgeting, procurement, rates, and financial reporting practices.
- IT competence including computer systems and financial software applications, preferably Synergysoft but this is not essential
- Sound knowledge of local governments’ record keeping obligations.
You will oversee a stable team to ensure the provision of high-quality corporate support to all Council directorates and business units (saleyards, childcare, airport) during this period.
The Person
Tertiary qualified in a relevant field, you are renowned within the local government environment for being a calm, pragmatic, hands on and values-based leader with an unwavering focus on the customer and community.
An hourly rate of between $100-110 + Super dependent upon experience + accommodation and travel expenses will be offered to the successful candidate.
