Make Your Leadership Matter

As CEO of Napranum Aboriginal Shire Council, you will lead an organisation with more than 100 dedicated staff, a $21.6M annual operating budget, and a community of approximately 1,000 residents committed to growth and opportunity. In this position, you will be the strategic anchor - guiding financial management, legislative compliance, community programs, and major infrastructure initiatives across a dynamic region. With Napranum continuing to expand its housing, facilities, and social programs, you will be at the centre of shaping a safe, sustainable, and culturally vibrant future for generations to come.

You will work closely with an engaged Mayor and Councillors, partnering to deliver transparent governance, seamless council operations, and meaningful community engagement. You will oversee everything from financial reporting and policy development to economic development projects, internal audit, staff capability building, and the delivery of essential services. With major focus areas like increasing local employment, strengthening internal systems, enhancing community consultation, and navigating the unique operating environment of Indigenous Local Government, this is a genuine opportunity to leave a legacy of capability, trust, and progress.
